My name is Willis Lee. I am a former collegiate athlete turned bodybuilder and coach. For years I've been training with various people ranging from regular folks looking to get fit, all the way to competitive athletes aiming for optimal performance.
To this day, I live and breath training. I want to be the best athlete I can be, and I'd love to help you do the same.
It is so important to move well. Whenever we set out on any physical challenge, whether to add muscle, run a road race, or just be more active with friends and family, it needs to start from the perspective of function.
I'm a big believer in training the main movement patterns, and training them well. This means nailing the technique of the primary movements, such as the squat, hip hinge, lunge, and horizontal press & row. We do this to better understand how our body is supposed to move and train the proper responses to resistance.
When we have technique mastered, it is safer and easier to add weight.
Also, it is very possible to build size & strength with limited weight and good form. If I had learned this lesson earlier, I would have built more muscle and saved myself from multiple injuries!
